Patches and enhancements of Open Source products will be made available and sent to the respective projects. General components of our solutions will be publicly released under an OSI approved license to support and leverage the Open Source community.

Independence: Convince by acting, not by long-term contracts, proprietary solutions or retained information.

Interoperable / Open Standards: Our applications comply with open, world-wide technical standards for information interchange as released by accepted standards bodies: W3C, IETF/RFC, ISO. The primary focus is on widespread technical compatibility. Optimizations and adaptions for concrete (non-standard) products have second priority. Thus, we try to avoid using features that raise compatibility issues.

Sustainable: We believe Open Standards and Open Source is the key to long-term sustainable software development.

Agile process: We follow the principles of the Agile Manfesto in our daily work and partner interaction, which is:

• Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
• Working software over comprehensive documentation
• Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
• Responding to change over following a plan

We don't work for the company: The company provides the legal framework of our operations, we don't work for shareholder value. That said, headissue is run as non-profit organization and may eventually become one.
